About Me

<time datetime="2023-09-30 01:10:23 -0700 PDT">30 September 2023</time>

I have had an exceptional career so far, and it has all been thanks to the many hiring managers and project sponsors that have given me such great opportunities. For that I am eternally grateful to each and every one of them.

About half my work has been in technology. I was an early employee at UUNET Technologies, the first Internet Service Provider, and a hands-on Technical Project Manager at the Discovery Channel, building out their web applications infrastructure. I also program in C++ and Elixir and build computers for my home and business projects. In 2023, I also authored SlipCache, an open-source high-speed embedded cache for Elixir and Erlang projects.

The other half of my work has been in consulting and finance. My first job was as a management consultant at Coopers & Lybrand, analyzing financial institutions in the wake of a financial crisis, and later I managed multiple projects at Fannie Mae related to their financial restatement and restrucuring. I am also an recognized expert on index equity derivatives, with a book published by Wiley, with research appearing in the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal and presented at the CBOE. I also have an MBA from INSEAD, the leading international business school.

I lived most of my life in the Washington, DC area and then worked and studied in Asia (Singapore). Now I live in Beverly Hills, CA.
